DACHAMBO
Self-described as a “Japanese avant-garde alternative rock band”, this group of 6 rockers seems normal upon first glance: bass, guitar, drums, keyboard, drums, another set of drums… and a didgeridoo. Suddenly “alternative” just got real. This cheerful band travels around Japan in a biodiesel bus, powered by their fans’ love and adoration, and in return fueling them with sweet vibes and positive energy to do good in the world: they’re the ultimate recycling dream project personified.
As they begin to play everything and nothing makes sense, but the rhythm’s good, so it doesn’t matter. These funky guys drawn you in with Latin beats and danceable tunes, and keep you there because they keep you guessing. What comes next? A trippy, mellow melody, or a wild tribal-inspired track? Who knows? And most of all who cares? One hour on stage means at least one hour of happy, mindless dancingーsomething we all could use a little more of these days.
