Nottingham, England producer Lone served up a set of straight up house as part of Fuji Rock’s Sunday Session, sandwiched in between all-female act Jyobachi and Osaka R&B cut and paste producer Seiho. With a steady house beat as the foundation, Lone layered ambient echoes and the occasional vocal sample to keep the audiences bodies rocking back and forth but never breaking a sweat.
The tempo never strayed far from a shuffle and psychedelic visuals on the big screen kept time to the pulsating beat. While Lone’s time behind the decks likely won’t become anyone’s most memorable moment at Fuji Rock, the set held enough interest to keep late-nighters’ energy up.
