Music hasn’t been the only live event worth seeking out Thursday night in Naeba. On the far end of the Red Marquee food court, several street performers have been doing their thing, acts ranging from balloon-animal-centric magic tricks to sleight of hand performed on unsuspecting crowd members. Fire, though, has played a central role in all of the acts we’ve seen in this spot so far. One of the last for the evening flipped a burning pole with two sticks — he busted out something dubbed “the helicopter” at one point, but also generated a surprisingly large fireball early on. At least he stayed warm as the temperatures are starting to dip at Fuji Rock.
