Performers In The Night

Away from the music, plenty of entertainment to be found

As music on the Red Marquee got underway Thursday night, plenty of other spots around the Fuji Rock ground hosted different kinds of entertainment. A variety of performers showed off their skills across the areas open, including a one-man band sporting pink and green hair (I mean, it is watermelon day in Japan) playing ramshackle songs featuring violin, kazoo, hi-hat and keyboard. Between frantic songs, he had audience members goof around with him, highlighted by having a punter attempt to catch a red felt nose using a top hat after the dude playing all those instruments blew it from his nose (complicated, sure, but it was caught). Steps away, a juggler hurled glowing bowling pins in the sky, gradually building up to five pins. In case you thought music was the only thing to be had at Naeba this weekend, think again.
