Some people camp out with a few crates of beer in a deck chair at the back of the Green Stage for the entire weekend, others don’t even make it outside of the Orange Court. And then there is a hardy bunch who dress up in costumes inspired by Alice in Wonderland and hang out by the river all day. Really. Pictured here are Paul “the gullible unicorn”, a 27-year-old from Brisbane (left), Jessica “butterfly caterpillar”, a 23-year-old from NYC, and “Alice” Isaac, a 26-year-old who is also from Brisbane. We’re not sure if these characters are going to remain in costume for the entire three days, but they’ve certainly started out with the best intentions…

River Relaxation http://fujirockexpress.net/13e/?p=1291 http://fujirockexpress.net/13e/?p=1291#comments Fri, 26 Jul 2013 01:48:09 +0000 Matt Evans http://fujirockexpress.net/13e/?p=1291 It’s off to a hot start so far for the first day of Fuji Rock! There’s only a few clouds high up and for those who forgot their hats, it seems some sunburn is on the way. But it does look like there’ll be a bit of shade relief in the afternoon. My recommendation for those seeking some relief and to relieve the footsoreness in the afternoon is to head for the area between the Green Stage and White Stage. Just beyond Kid’s Land and just before you cross over the bridge to the White Stage, you’ll find a stretch of river put aside for foot-bathing. So rest up those weary feet or just sit back, relax and reflect as the sound of the White Stage washes over you. It’s also a great place to meet people, talk about your Fuji Rock experience so far and just chill. See you down there!
