Let’s get something straight… the Red Marquee has a fairly high roof. One you usually don’t expect to be grazed by performers being thrown in the air, or nearly touched by people standing three tall on each others’ shoulders. But this is how Circus Abyssinia opened their performance of fresh takes on classic circus acts. Quite the show indeed.

Despite the briefness of their performance (15 minutes) they managed to incorporate acrobatics, juggling, contortionism and gymnastics, all to engaging African rhythms.

This is how you want a party like Fuji Rock to kick off, with a beat and with some spectacle.
