After a three year hiatus (Pandemic year + toned down Fuji Rock 2021), the Thursday night tradition of Fuji Rock’s Bon Odori was back on last night!

Thursday night, called “Zenyasai,” has long been a tradition at the festival, where locals and festival attendees get to visit the Naeba Shokudo grounds free of charge, to enjoy a lineup of delicious food from vendors, listen to music, and dance to prep for the weekend to come. Bon Odori was followed by boisterous fireworks and an opening act at the Red Marquee by all-female punk rock band from Kyoto, among many other artists kicking off the weekend.

It was a glimpse into the excitement we will have the rest of the weekend and it’s good to be back!
