Nina here! I’m honored to be back again for the second year as a reporter, and fourth time attending Fuji Rock. My love for music – and music festivals – has spanned over multiple continents and countries – from Canada to Indonesia in the past, but Fuji Rock always has a special place in my heart for how kind, loving, and clean it is, with the same amount of passion the festival goers have!
I’m looking forward to reporting to you, live from the festival grounds. If you’re here, feel free to follow me on Instagram (@ninalalala) and reach out to hang out!
Q&A:
Q: What’s your all-time favorite live music experience?
A: Flying to Toronto, Canada to camp at Wayhome Music Festival, not having an international cell phone so really living in the moment and making new friends around me (and also seeing Willie Nelson live).
Q: What’s your go-to Karaoke Song?
A: “Sk8er Boi” by Avril Lavigne
Q: What is the first album you ever bought?
A: Also, “Let Go” by Avril Lavigne
Q: Who is one musician/band you want to dine with?
A: Harry Styles mostly because I want to see what he would choose to wear.
Q: What’s your go-to kombini in Japan?
A: Family Mart <3
Q: What venue was the first concert you ever went to and who did you see?
A: Avril Lavigne at the Rose Garden (now the Moda Center) in Portland, OR (there’s a clear Avril theme going here)
Q: What performance(s) are you most highly anticipating at Fuji Rock 2022?
A: Halsey, because I’ve admired her for years, Japanese Breakfast, because I connected so deeply with Michelle’s memoir, and Mura Masa, because that was one of my favorite performances at Fuji Rock 2016.
