The Tokyo skyline and neon colored backdrop, and the disco ball at the centre of the stage said it all. A party is just about to begin! Ladies In The City, Night Tempo’s most recent release features a myriad of collaborators from Bonnie Pink to Sayaka Yamamoto. As showcased in the album title, this Friday evening set was a celebration of these talented women in the Japanese music industry. What makes Night Tempo special is his ability to engage with an audience like no other. He brought a whole new angle to a DJ set, interacting with the audience as an MC, cracking jokes, and dancing along with his fans.

Night Tempo opened the evening with one of his classic DJ sets, and then began the many surprises of the night. The audience was in for treat of not only one musical guest, but three! The Fuji Rock audience was blessed with the presence of Aoi Yagawa and Bonnie Pink, and the set concluded with the ever-so vibrant Maki Nomiya. The audience was thrilled and the dancing in the crowd continued until the end.
