A beguiling mystery is solved

New art work at the Palace of Wonder this year features this beguiling image which sort of resembles grunge icon, Kurt Cobain, or reggae lion, Bob Marley.

But the truth of the matter is more surprising, the image is of Ivy, the “Princess” of the Palace of Wonder at the tender age of 3. The work was produced by UK graffiti artist Dotmaster and is part of the series “Rude Kids” where hey traveled the world and documented children making mischief.

Dirty little deeds like writing bad words, or making a mess on the ground. Apparently, Ivy was reading a bad word when she gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. Dotmaster arrived at Fuji Rock with the Unfairground, a group of similarly minded subversive artists that regularly appear at Glastonbury.

And if you look around some of the storage sheds outside the festival gates, a few more stencil artworks by Dotmaster can be found.
