There aren’t many things in the world that can grab our sense of wonder and keep our attention in a vice-like grip the same way magic can. This is why a lot of magicians learn their tricks and call it a day, magic done the way it has always been done is good enough they say. Not Masato Moja, the legendary Fuji Rock Daidogei magician/clown.

His performances mix together the magic of, well, magic with the charm and charisma of a Harpo Marx or a Charlie Chaplin. Instead of just appreciating the trick, you find yourself appreciating everything around the trick just as much as the magic itself. When a person shaking their hair forward over their face and clipping a clown nose onto it is just as engaging as a legitimately puzzling card trick like playing card regurgitation, you know you have something special on your hands.
