A Field of Heaven staple going back over two decades, Primal is a welcome sight to the hungry eyes of generations of Fuji Rockers.

They are perhaps best known for their Cubanos and pulled pork (both delicious, by the way), but the real reason to keep coming back is their fries!

Thick cut and fresh fried, they can come smothered in bacon and cheese, or generously topped with a healthy portion of salsa and two kinds of cheese, or slathered in rich honey mustard. But if you want to let the potatoes speak for themselves there is nothing wrong with going plain! Best fries at the festival, bar none.

To wash it all down they have original crisp lemonade (with or without booze), sangria, mojitos, anything your parched throat could ask for and more.

A Year at Fuji Rock isn’t complete without a pilgrimage (or two… or three) to Primal. You won’t regret it.
