There are a lot of good reasons to take the 20-minute-long gondola ride up to the Day Dreaming And Silent Breeze areas. One example – to check out colorful murals that Fuji Rock punters have contributed to at past festivals. Inside of the restaurant at the top of the mountain, you can find three murals covered in rainbow-bright doodles, ranging from nice little messages to characters like Mickey Mouse and Pikachu. And, uhhhhh, a drawing of a bear with blood dripping out of his mouth. Hey, we all have to express ourselves somehow. Plus, if you head outside of the restaurant, you can find this year’s blank murals, just waiting to be covered in art.

Bonus tip – the fried chicken at that restaurant is pretty good.
