It’s always interesting to see the different cultures that gather together at music festivals. It’s a testament to the ability of music as a universal language, something that brings together people regardless of their nationality. People have come from all over the world to Fuji Rock. But I finally spotted my first national flag just before Of Monsters and Men were due on stage at the White Stage. The very fetching Icelandic flag was proudly being flown by a loud group of Icelanders (funnily enough), who were shouting back at the roady who was soundchecking in Icelandic words.
