As their hand-painted sign reads, Tokyo Ale is “Amber in hue, finely balanced bitter hop and sweet malt.” For 600 Yen you can get a delicious and refreshing paper cup of one of the fest’s best brews.
Conveniently located next to the THC Tent, whose secret cave leads to a secret backdoor where KEEN has generously set up a small promotional tent, practically giving away their shoes, famous hybrid sandals, a version of crocs, etc. for just 3000 Yen a pair! Unfortunately for us big-footed foreigners, they only have two sizes available, 24 and 27 cm (about 6-7 women’s or 9-10 men’s US size). But, if your feet fall in one of those ranges, get yourself a super deal on some great kicks at a discount of about 70% off! (I swear by my full-price-bought pair of KEEN Newport H2 hybrid sandals, been wearing them almost everyday for over a year now.)
Not to mention the great brick-oven pizzas also available over there and gelato right next door for dessert, I think I have a new favorite vendor area Field of Heaven!
