For anyone needing a break from the crowds and ever-present sounds of the main stages a highly recommended escape is the leisurely 30 minute ride on Naeba’s own specially named “Dragondola.” Why this gondola is named after a dragon is something for the most serious Fujirockers to investigate but what is for sure is that the the near silence and lush greenery that embraces you as you shoot through the mountains in a cute blue pod is worth every penny of the 1500 yen you pay for the round trip ride. When you arrive at the aptly named Daydreaming and Silent Breeze oasis you are greeted by yet more trees and beautifully crisp air. There are some gorgeous lakes and other spectacular scenery including some fake bears on the way too.
