Fujirockers.org / Fujirock Express head honcho Koichi Hanafusa did his second DJ stint of the weekend on Sunday night at the small Jim Vinyl Nasium tent that’s by the Queen Sheba booth in the World Restaurant area. During his Friday night session, Hanafusa spun a lot of old enka 45s. Before Sunday’s set he said he wanted to play music that would make people dance. True to his word, he had a dozen or so folks kicking up their feet in the mud to the mix of classic Japanese rock, reggae, and jazz pop that he played. With Hanafusa singing along behind the decks to selections from the likes of Yujiro Ishihara and Mari Watanabe, the only complaint anyone likely had was that his 30 minute set on Sunday night went by far too quickly!
