While most of Thursday night at Fuji Rock is spent hovering around the Red Marquee, checking out the food options and watching some traditional dancing, the stages just beyond run through sound checks for groups playing the next day. While we walked towards our work area this afternoon, we spotted British electronic duo Disclosure running through their set for Friday night at the White Stage. Various people scurried across the stage, making sure every piece of equipment was working and that every little detail was taken care of. And, of course, they made sure the music sounded solid too – as we wandered by, the pair’s “F For You” blared out of the sound system. Shaping up nicely for the official first day of the fest.
