Wacky Scary Inflatable Things
Every year, there’s a new collection of outdoor decor. While there are some more kawaii additions this year, it was hard not to be fascinated by this…thing…at the bridge to the White Stage. If Dr. Seuss and H.R. Geiger got together, drank too much shochu and invented an inflatable, florescent kaiju, this would be the result. It’s nicer to think it’s protecting the entrance rather than threatening it. Just pray it doesn’t look you in the face (sounds like a horror movie tagline).
Seriously, though, they’re not scary, they’re just truly imaginative and usually impressive in size. No festival goes as far as FujiRock to add extra visual and artistic elements to the grounds. We’ll see what awaits us in the farther reaches of Naeba!
