JONATHAN WILSON
Jonathan Wilson and his four-piece backing band filled the Field of Heaven with some very cool psychedelic rock during their hour-long Saturday afternoon showing. Running nearly eight minutes in length, “Dear Friend” from last year’s “Fanfare” had a definite Pink Floyd feel, while the laidback hippie vibes of “Desert Raven” had fans clad in Grateful Dead gear in anticipation of Phil Lesh’s Field of Heaven headlining set blissfully swaying along. The mood onstage was really relaxed and loose as Wilson and company seemed more than content to let their critically acclaimed vintage rock-inspired tunes be the star of the show.
