The precipitation that blanketed Naeba Thursday night and partly Friday morning left the dirt field near the Cafe de Paris a muddy mess. But this fact didn’t stop people from kicking soccer balls around and shooting towards a pair of goals set up in the area. Throughout the afternoon, punters knocked the football around, and had impromptu penalty shootouts in the extremely sunken terrain where the Orange Court used to be. One woman, after a particularly daring steal, scored a goal and threw her hands up in wild celebration. Things are serious on the muddy pitches of Fuji.
