Japanese veteran club DJ’s, ShigeoJD and DJMAAR, who make up the duo Fake Eyes Production, took their slick disco/house club anthems to the mountaintops for their set on the Daydreaming stage. The pair, who are known for their help on various Japanese commercials and as resident DJ’s at such clubs as WOMB in Shibuya, kept the tempo up but the mood chilled out to deliver a stream of disco that was equally danceable and relaxable. This was apparent observing the pack of fans dancing crazily, crowded around the decks, while many more chose to take it all in while horizontal, lounging on mats and blankets at a distance in the cool grass of the mountaintop. It was a setting that perhaps best worked to Fake Eyes Production’s advantage; People arriving by gondola were treated to house beats as chilled out as the mountain breeze that greeted them.
