A wise man once told me that you can always find something good to say about a band. Unfortunately, Gi Gi Giraffe left me feeling rather speechless in this regard.  The 3-piece are allegedly a bedroom band who make occasional forays out into the world of live performance.  Be this is the case, they could definitely do with getting out a bit more, rather than stewing in their own juices. Their fuzzy vocaled, heavily distorted brand of 3-chord indie was an uninspired choice from the arbiters of the Rookie Stage, but the guy in the crowd chugging on a bottle of wine seemed to disagree with me on this point, which I guess is one advantage of playing the Rookie stage – most people are too far gone to be unkind.  Perhaps I should have drunk more.
