Formed in the year 2018, Glimpse Group is a Shonan based Japanese rock group attracting the likes of many across the Japanese music scene, particularly live houses. The Rookie A Go-Go stage is a stage located in between the Red Marquee and the Green Stage, making it the perfect place to catch the attention of concert goers getting from place to place. Glimpse Group managed to draw in a crowd only a couple of songs into their afternoon set.
Since their formation, they have released two singles entitled: See What’s Out There (2020) and FAMILIAR (2021). They opened their 30 minute set with their song MY GIRL and finished strong with Make Me Lion.
Their youthfulness and obvious camaraderie are their strengths, and what sets them apart may be their ability to keep a consistently high energy throughout the entirety of a set. The songs performed showcased the singer’s impressively large vocal range, and while the audience only had a mere 30 minutes to get to know this up and coming band, they sure made the best of the time they were given.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see them perform on bigger stages at Fuji Rock a few years down the line.
