Vegan (ie plant based) foods have gained traction in Japan in recent years, and it has finally reached Fuji Rock! This is the first time ever that a fully plant-based vendor has entered Fuji Rock, making it an epic milestone in the ethical and gastronomic efforts the festival makes. Righteous Burger hails from Tokyo – originally having a store front in Roppongi – now, the vendor tours around the country appearing at various festivals and events.

“Vegan” or “Plant-based” is no longer synonym for healthy veggie bowls and grains. You can now enjoy fully meat- and dairy-free “junk” food that’s a perfect match for full-on music festival.

Enjoy burgers, nuggets, and even curry – all the things you were craving but couldn’t have before at Fuji Rock. I tried their famous Righteous cheese burger; the marination of cheese and their creamy mustard sauce coated the patty perfectly – a patty that one would find hard to believe that it wasn’t real meat! Be sure to give this vendor some love and support as we hope to see more plant-based options available at Fuji Rock in the future!
