Soon after The Killers finished on the Green Set, audiences were treated to a highly experimental performance featuring Oni, who previously fronted the experimental art-rock band Afrirampo (あふりらんぽ).

Now on her own, she’s added a beatboxer, a competent drummer, a djembe, a guitar, and whatever member of the audience she can pull on stage to wave fans, participate in singalongs, and make strange bird noises and other clicking sounds. 

Onstage, she is like a colorful bird, singing at a high octave and strutting and peering at the crowd from weird stances. When wed with a ukulele, her sound shines and reminds many of top-selling artists such as Tuneyards and others. 

About 100 people or so were thoroughly entertained by her performance, especially her commitment to crowd participation. It was a highly imaginative and inspiring show that helped clear away the residual pop music residue emanating from other stages.
