Eppai the Busker

I’ve run into this guy Eppai (pronounced Ipp-ay) a few times at Fuji Rock now, and he never, ever ceases to amaze me. I almost feel bad, but his busker gig in the Oasis on Friday evening was quite possibly the best thing that I saw that day. That’s not to say any of the shows I saw were bad, it’s just… Eppai, is… to use an overused word: epic.

The man has green and pink hair (half-half) and it only gets better from there. He can play multiple instruments at the same timeーusing both his feet, his hands, and his mouth. Add to that he can bite into pre shaken beer cans without a second thought, shoot party poppers into his mouth (no joke!) and keep on singing. If that doesn’t impress you, I don’t know what will.

You won’t find him on the live schedule, but he’s playing the Busker Stop (near Cafe de Paris) at 2pm today (Sunday)! Check him outーyou won’t regret it!
