With Ninth Apollo label mates Hero Complex preceding them, Six Lounge clearly took the challenge seriously and pulled off 30-minutes of near non-stop melodic punk, chucking themselves and their great hair around with notable aplomb.  Another band peddling 3-minute punk appetizers, some songs seemed to follow the same standard formula, but there was enough good stuff here to keep everyone entertained: a singer who could hit a note, energetic drum rolls, harmonies and chord progressions that kept the pace up throughout. What a pleasure to see a band with some proper rock chops on them.
