The Dragondola ropeway takes riders on a twenty-minute journey across the hills and valleys of Naeba to the top of the Kagura ski resort.

It’s a scenic and sometimes stomach-churning ride as your traverse the Naeba mountains and at the end of the ropeway you find yourself waking out into a sun-drenched patch of open grassland. The bell outside the restaurant tolls over the top of the DJs playing at the Daydreaming tent and while those at the stage are bopping along with beers in hand, other are reclining and unconscious in chairs dotted around.

Not everyone is sleeping though: there are plenty of folks chowing down at the nearby restaurant, and we even found a couple getting married. More on them to come!

If you have a spare couple of hours today and feel like something more chilled out, making your way up the mountain is a nice side trip away from the main festival.
