We caught up with the youngest member of the Martinez family, Alexis, who is aged 11. He appears at the Palace of Wonder each evening where he defies gravity and common sense by doing flips some 7 meters into the air.

You could say he was born for this work as he is from a circus family who have some 5 generations of such daring acts. He says he has no fear and never, ever falls. His elder brother Allen also began his training at the age of 2 and continues to be part of the act.

Alexis is half-Columbian and half-Japanese. They live in Japan and perform regularly as performing is literally part of their life for many generations.
