A stompin' pleasant time

It’s tough having to go up against any headliner at Fuji Rock — let alone someone like Kendrick Lamar — but Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats (guhhhhh) handled it well Saturday at the Field Of Heaven. Their performance moved between throwback folk numbers for people looking to end the day on a more relaxed note, while also working in more romper-stompers to up the energy throughout. It closed with a rendition of their “S.O.B.,” a particularly energetic cut that made sure folks went up on a high. Tough competition, but everyone looked happy as they trudged out.
