Happy as a crab

If you every thought about what dancing Yakult bottles would look like, Keporon would be a pretty close facsimile. Formed in June, 1999, this vocal duo backed by a rock band is entertaining a full crowd in front of the Gypsy Avalon today. There are crab claws, sunflower hats, and more than one hundred parent-child groups.

As a musical group, Keporon focuses on songwriting, composition and choreography. There’s a little story behind every song and audiences throughout Japan have shown great love for this band which performs some 90-100 shows a year. On top of frequent touring, the band also releases CDs paired with books and even a a whole Youtube channel devoted to their content.

They are regular Fuji Rock performers since 2013, and have been one of the most and active and sought after performers artists for Fuji’s youngest audience members. And of course, their last song was the “Bye-Bye” song.
