Osaka surf garage rock

This Osaka based 4 piece pop garage punk band had a melodic but no frills vibe that suited the Naeba Shokudo Stage during Kendrick Lamar’s set very well. Instead of relying on complicated song structures the band stayed true to rock roots, with maybe a little inspiration from groups like The Vaselines. Their songs were catchy and lent themselves well to the occasional screamed line or ragged guitar solo, with hints of surf rock that helped make the band stand out.

While they weren’t quite breaking new ground with their set, they definitely did what they did very well. Pounding drums, bright vocals and well deployed guitars that made each of their songs enjoyable. Good garage rock served up Osaka style.
