LIVE REPORT - WHITE STAGE 7/26 SAT
ENG: FERMIN MUGURUZA
Fermin Muguruza’s Fuji Rock Farewell
The backdrop of the stage said it all: Muguruza FM 1984-2024.
The banner was made for Muguruza’s farewell tour last year and his last major concert in Iruña-Pamplona on October 4, 2025, at the Navarra Arena.
Due to his love of Fuji Rock, he was persuaded to play one more time, a concert that will culminate his love of touring internationally and celebrate his 40 years in the music industry.
The band were all dressed in signature black clothing. And as soon as they took the stage, they unleashed a ferocious energy. Ripping into popular numbers such as “Nicaragua Sandinista” and “Sarri, Sarri.”
In what may be the last chords of Fermin Muguruza’s career, he didn’t go quietly, instead a defiant roar for Palestine. The Basque punk legend turned the stage into a revolutionary trench, blending ska-punk fury with unapologetic solidarity for Gaza.
From the first riff, Muguruza made it clear: this wasn’t just a show, but a political act.
At the end of the set, pre-recorded voices from Gaza played against Muguruza’s heart-wrenching plea to end the war. The moment wasn’t tokenism—it was raw, uncomfortable, and necessary.
Images of “CEASEFIRE NOW” showed on the video screen, and the crowds cheers of “Free Palestine” were louder than ever. This show wasn’t a nostalgia trip. It was proof that music still has teeth.
